“Holy fuck” is the first note in my notebook for this one. On bag open, this smells like a fresh, homemade ice cold ginger ale. Extra kick in the nose with the addition of the smell of lemon myrtle trees. It’s extremely strong and extremely amazing! The scent of a high end vanilla bean or sticky, melty vanilla paste rounds out the aroma too, along with a heavy hand of jasmine flower. It’s mind boggling this smell. Needs to be smelt to be believed. On grind it smells so good, like fresh baked lemon madeleines, or squashed Hostess vanilla Zingers from the bodega. On wet, lemon and fresh ginger ale (now a hot ginger ale) fill the air, and only intensify as the brew goes on. I highly recommend leaving a lid on your brewer as this brews so you can trap the aromatics in. In the cup, happy to say it’s more of the same. Beautiful lemon, vanilla cake, and fresh cream, with a ginger kick. No funk to speak of, just clean, intense flavor.
Goes shockingly well with milk, and milk based drinks if you dare to pull turbo shots with this.
