***Excellent*** daily drinker. Super clear retro nasal toffee flavors and savory sweetness, with a pomegranate acidity that keeps things lively. There's also a hint of fig, or perhaps strawberry jam or raisins that round things out. The natural processing is also excellent, as the coffee is surprisingly clean especially at this price point. And donkeys are just so cute, how can you not?
Ugandan coffee is somewhat rare in the specialty sector, mostly because of the extreme difficulty in actually getting the crop out of the country. There is simply no established infrastructure. In fact, this natural processed coffee was transported by Ugandan donkeys down from the mountains, as most if not all of the smallholders are inaccessible by car.
