Guji Uraga Tabe Burka Washed
Josh’s notes:
Rock solid representation of high quality Ethiopian coffee for a reasonable price. A great option for daily drinking. I get the aromas of nice herbal teas and an assam black tea tannin and body. Very neutral and crowd pleasing. Brew it and enjoy, this one is a no-brainer.
Tabe Burka washing station is located in Uraga Woreda, which is part of the Guji zone. The founder of Tabe Burka washing station, Tadesse Edeme, comes from a coffee growing family of 29 brothers who all work in coffee. Aside from himself, two of his brothers are also famous for producing outstanding lots of coffee in Uraga and Ambela. Tadesse Edema collegs coffee from about 300 smallholders, which are paid in advance on a quality-based system. The water used in the wash comes from the Burka river.
Process:
This batch has been processed using the traditional washed method, and is characterized by Ethiopian florals and elegant aromas, complimented by a fresh and clean orange acidity.
Roast:
Roasted light and spectacularly by our friends at Glitch Coffee and Roasters in Tokyo, Japan, rested for 7 days, then vacuum packed and frozen for long term storage.
