Floripondio Natural Geisha

from $58.50
sold out

Josh’s notes:
Wow. Incredibly delicate and balanced, nearly perfect geisha that distinguishes itself from other geisha origins effortlessly. I get chocolate covered oranges, and a light refreshing oolong tea. I suppose you could also say it’s like oolong mixed with a bit of orange juice. Very unique, and yet undeniably geisha, that Bolivian terroir really comes through. If you’re a fan of geisha coffees, this is 100% for you. This is a special, beautiful, and elegant coffee that I will think about for a long time. Very Lucienne.

Floripondio is a new project by the Rodriguez family in Bolivia. The farm is located in Santa Cruz which is not traditionally known for coffee production. Despite this, the Rodriguez family believes that the elevation and unique tropical climate allows for a wider temperature variance and creates ideal conditions for experimentation. As this is still a very young project, most of their plots are not yet producing cherries yet. This geisha lot however is one of the first.

Process:
Processed as a traditional natural (dried in mechanical facilities) with excellent technique, this geisha exhibits distinctive flavor profiles endemic to the terror of Santa Cruz.

Roast:
Roasted light and spectacularly by our friends at Glitch Coffee and Roasters in Tokyo, Japan, rested for 7 days, then vacuum packed and frozen for long term storage.
