Very dark roast. These beans are gorgeous in appearance. A deep grape and raw honey aroma on bag open, and blackberry aromas come out when ground. Absolutely amazing smell on wet. Heavy bloom. Smells like grapes, blackberry, and blueberry preserves. In the cup, the brew is dark and moody, with the faint smell of smoke like a coffee roasted by hand. As it cools, dark red grapes take center stage, backed again by those amazing berry flavors. This is an amazing kissa-style, classic coffee. Goes great with cigarettes and cream.

Roasted dark and spectacularly by our friends at Lilo Coffee Roasters in Osaka, Japan, rested for 7 days, then vacuum packed and frozen. I recommend enjoying this coffee right away.
