La Esperanza Natural Caturra

$24.00

Josh’s Notes:

A truly great natural coffee. Exceptional even. Super clean, very clear fruit forward characteristics. Dark fruits like black berry and cassis in the cup while hot, and a florality a bit like rose water, with the tart of pomegranate very clear in the cup. This pomegranate flavor is what rings the most as the cup continues to cool. Different grind sizes seem to shift the balance toward darker or lighter fruits. CGLE never misses.

Raw Sugar Roast’s Notes:

“It is harvested with ripeness with proper mucilage and fermented for thirty-five hours in a special tank.

After that, it is stored in a silo for forty-eight hours and enters the process of drying in the sun.

Elegant and mellow aromas like cassis and roses, sourness like blackberry and apple, and the rich sweetness that supports them create a long aftertaste.”

Roasted somewhere between light/medium and spectacularly by our friends at Raw Sugar Roast in Tokyo, Japan, rested for 7 days, then vacuum packed and frozen.
