Kiunyu AA Washed
Josh’s Notes:
Lovely sweet herbal tea smell on bag open and initial wetting. Nice fresh blood orange juice vibe when hot and only amplified when cooling, and a bright, best-cherry-tomato-you-ever-had acid in the background. There's also a light green plum quality to this coffee that's hard to pin down but definitely there, and a sweetness like sucking on a stick of sugarcane. Might possibly become my new daily drinker…
Raw Sugar Roast’s Notes:
“Located in the southern foothills of Kenya, Kirinaga is blessed with fertile farmland due to volcanic ash soil from the Mount Kenya, and is known as one of the best producing areas in Kenya. The unique flavor of Kenya's production area, like tomato and bright acid reminiscent of blood orange, the gentle sweetness like sugarcane leaves comfortably in the afterglow.”
Roasted somewhere between light/medium and spectacularly by our friends at Raw Sugar Roast in Tokyo, Japan, rested for 7 days, then vacuum packed and frozen.
