Josh’s notes:
Classic aroma on bag open of a medium roast coffee. Very approachable. On grind, there’s the smell of burning sugar like caramel and molasses, with a hint of blood orange there. Nice mild aroma on wet. The brew is mild, but there is a very clear note of sweet milky caramel and/or caramel covered blood orange, or perhaps papaya. (couldn’t decide on that one.) The nuttiness of roasted almond is present as well. This is a coffee for everyone. Even your mom. Gets even better as it cools, and goes great with milk!
Lilo’s notes:
“Roasted hazelnut and caramel flavors.
Roasted almond aromas with a hint of blood orange sweetness.
A lingering, syrupy sweetness reminiscent of molasses.
Brazil Eldorado 'Back Door Man'" refers to a specialty coffee lot sourced from the Alta Mogiana region of Brazil. It is a fully washed Catuaí 99 varietal fermented with CIMA yeast for 72 hours, bringing out a gentle balance of papaya, blood orange, and caramel notes.”
Roast:
Roasted medium and spectacularly by our friends at Lilo Coffee Roasters in Osaka, Japan, rested for 7 days, then vacuum packed and frozen. I recommend enjoying this coffee right away.
