El Paraiso Red Plum
Josh’s Notes:
If you’ve been around Lucienne long enough, you’ll remember that this coffee from El Paraiso was actually our VERY first offering, back when I was roasting the coffee myself! It was interesting revisiting this crop but from a roaster who actually knows what they’re doing like Glitch, and boy do they come through. This coffee has such an amazing ripe plum taste and is jammy as hell. It tastes and feels like fresh berry preserves, has a fun stickiness in the mouth, and a deeply complex hibiscus tannin note that brings it all together. Incredible processing and roasting on this batch of castillo!
Glitch’s Notes:
“At the prestigious Cup of Excellence, Colombia’s El Paraiso Farm shattered records with their Double Anaerobic Fermentation coffee, achieving the highest auction price in the competition's history. While ranked 10th with a score of 89.79, its innovative flavors and originality captivated the coffee world, redefining expectations.
The El Paraiso Double Anaerobic Washed we present today belongs to the “Red Plum Lot,” a flavor category renowned for its unparalleled elegance.
This is a wonderful coffee with a taste reminiscent of Red Plum, and with sweet flavors such as Apricot, and a refreshing aspect such as Hibiscus Tea.
Experience the brilliance of Colombian coffee at its most radiant. Treat yourself to this exceptional brew at home and savor its luxurious flavors.”
Roasted light and spectacularly by our friends at Glitch Coffee and Roasters in Tokyo, Japan, rested for 7 days, then vacuum packed and frozen. I recommend enjoying this coffee right away.
