El Bebedero Anaerobic Washed Maragogype

$22.00

Josh’s notes:
Massive beans. A bright orange zest on bag open. A white peach on grind. On wet, the subtle cold scent of a Costco raspberry in the walk-in freezer. The brew is delicious with a candy-like mouthfeel of orange and raspberries. Very sweet too, and only improves as it cools! I think this would go great over ice. I might be biased though, since this is one of my favorite varietals…and from Peru to boot! Thank you Norberto at Obscure!

****NOTE: Maragogype are extra, extra large coffee beans. These may not fit in all grinders/dosers gracefully.****

Obscure’s Notes:
We’ve been amazed at the work Germán has been doing at the farm, and as soon as we saw he produced a Maragogype (one of our favorite varieties at the moment) we knew we had to jump on it. At 28 years old, Germán grows this coffee at 1,600masl near the Amazon rainforest, and goes through a traditional washed process followed by sun drying. We find a fruity and floral profile we can’t get enough of!”

Roast:
Roasted light and spectacularly by our friends at Obscure Coffee Roasters in Brooklyn, New York.
