Café De Eleta "SG3526" (K&R) Washed Geisha

$60.00

Josh’s notes:
Smells strongly of green-yellow Korean pears and pale jasmine tea; a beautiful, soft smell. On grind, the jasmine takes a back seat and the pear takes front and center, as if you just sliced a crispy fruit in half. On wet, the jasmine floats through the room while somebody nearby is spraying the counters with a tangerine scented cleaning product. Divine. In the brew, very orange tangerine and fresh. Totally different presentation in the flavor vs the aroma. There’s a lemongrass lurking too, along with other bright flavors. It’s juicy too. It really has it all. So good. So clean. So crushable.

Glitch’s notes:
"KR Coffee GW Eleta SG3526

ELETA Farm located in Lenasement (Peedla Candela area) in Chiliki, Panama. This Geisha was raised under the microclimate (microclimate) interwoven with volcanic soil and rich rainforests of about 1,400m above sea level adjacent to the UNESCO World Heritage Site "La Amistad International Park".

The harvested cherries are removed from the defective beans in a float tank, di-pulled, fermented for about twelve hours in a special bath dedicated to Geisha, and then washed with clean water. After that, it is carefully dried in an African bed until the moisture level is 10.5%. After ninety to one hundred days of resing, it is threshing and sorted.”

Roast:
Roasted light and spectacularly by our friends at Glitch Coffee and Roasters in Tokyo, Japan.
